ESB Audio 3000 Series 2.5" Widebands
ESB Audio 3000 Series 2.5" Widebands
The ESB 3000 speaker system was developed and assembled with a great commitment to the research of materials and engineering solutions of the highest level.
The baskets have been engineered to obtain maximum torsional rigidity (resistance to bending). The speaker cones use pressed paper with a waterproof treatment which represents an ideal marriage between lightness, stiffness and the ability of the cone to dampen any unwanted vibration. All the woofers are equipped with a Y-35 grade ferrite magnet motor, having significantly higher performance than classic "standard" magnets.
The tweeters use a silk-impregnated, thin fabric dome diaphragm for a smooth sound, with oversized voice coils ventilated and damped with iron-fluid oil.
They are supplied with accessories for flexible installation.
Main Features
This 3.65 wide range speaker is designed to operate in a 3-way system, with a woofer and a tweeter, or in a 2-way system where it can replace the tweeter. Conceived and purpose-built from the ground up, it offers exceptional transient response and outstanding linearity, resulting in unsurpassed clarity and natural midrange reproduction. Distortion and non-linearities have been minimized through critical optimization of dynamic motor and suspension behaviors. The CNC aluminum center plug allows control, linearization and an increase in extension of the high frequencies. Its properly calculated sharp-edges determine refraction that linearize and extend the spectrum of reproducible frequencies. The 20 mm voice coil offers good power handling, and its reduced mass allows this component to be pushed well beyond the 20 KHz threshold.
- ABS basket reinforced with fiberglass. The basket has been engineered to obtain the maximum in terms of torsional rigidity (resistance to bending), but at the same time, offers the minimum resistance to air passage.
- Pressed paper cone with waterproof treatment. It is widely recognized that cones made of paper are the ideal marriage between lightness, stiffness and the ability of the cone to dampen any unwanted vibration (read: distortion).
- High damping single wave Perbunan® rubber. The Perbunan rubber surround is much more stable with temperature changes than standard rubber.
- The 20 mm voice coil uses an aluminum support and a double layer winding technology of copper wire with an aluminum core.
- The neodymium N42 magnet: a type of magnet with significantly higher performance than "standard" magnets.
