Steg’s incredible Master Stroke series subwoofers draw upon nearly half a century masterful Italian design philosophies, technical acumen and advanced materials. The ensuing result is simply phenomenal, easily able to outperform subwoofer thrice the price.
The Kinetic Connection – Motor Structures And Membranes
The moving motor structure and suspension are extremely efficient and always under control, thanks to immensely strong ferrite stacked magnets. The subwoofers feature compact, aerodynamically transparent bedrock solid cast aluminium baskets; said material chosen for its magnetically inert properties. Top side the unit features a blended polymethacrylimide foam composite cone which is guided via a specifically profiled rubber surround which has a Shore hardness of 65. On the frame are solid push terminals, connected internally to these are high quality leads sewn in the spiders, which are progressively rolled polycotton. Between the surround atop and spider beneath the reciprocation control is otherworldly. To protect the bottom of the motor is an extended back plate capped with black cap and Italian flag colour scheme. It’s a downright crime the back-end of these speakers won’t be seen once installed, for the motor is a work of art.
